Abang and I booked a 2D1N trip on Alisa Cruise which was inclusive of our meals, activities, and sight-seeing trips. The first hour on board was really fun until I start to get a little panicky as I imagined Titanic....

Anyway, the first activity of the day was kayaking and though the sun was burning, I had so much fun. We tailed behind two ladies who were as adventurous as us, combing the entire radius that was allowed for us to explore. Such a pity that the rest on board preferred to stay indoors and didn't got to see abandoned boats and mini caves on our kayak exploration.

And there was Sung Sot cave which was another amazing place we visited. It was unfortunate that I did not take any shots with my film camera in the cave because of the lighting but oh boy, the wavy ceilings of the cave and the magnificent formation of stalactites and stalagmites really blew me away. There was a viewing deck at the top of the cave and the view was crazy! My favourite Ha Long Bay shot on film has got to be the one I took from Sung Sot Cave's viewing deck (below, pic 2).

Moon was up and before dinner, we had a mini cooking class where we all made Vietnamese Spring Rolls! The staffs were there to immediately cook it for us upon completion of our cute little rolls. It was a lot of fun and most importantly, very delicious. 

The last place of interest we stopped by for this trip was to Titop Island where there was also another viewing deck. The only downside was the flight of stairs to go up wasn't necessarily fit for the amount of visitors that were going up and down. Also, the deck was crowded and it was hard to get a decent photo. So here it is, Mr. Titop from Russia who visited this island with Uncle Ho back in the days and as simple as life was, the island was renamed after him.

It was such a short and fun trip to Ha Long Bay and I wished that I could explore this region more. Also, just by being close to Mother Nature, my mind and soul were refreshed by her healing powers. It's really nice to go on this kind of mini trips once in awhile to really cancel out the hustle and bustle of the city and focus on nature and its magic. Everyone should come by Ha Long Bay and witness its beauty before your own eyes as she dazzles you with her beauty during sunrise and sunset.

P/S: To my cruise mate from Poland that told me about a "some place" in Europe that was carved in the cave as well, if you are reading this, please drop your contact at the comment section, I would love to be in touch with you because I want to know where that "some place" is. You were really so nice to me and I was so shy to talk more with you until I realized you were disembarking to another boat halfway through.
