Yes, that was me at Kali Suci Tubing when we had to get down to take a photo together. Anyway, I did get down for the photo *claps claps*. Just in case you all don't know, I am very afraid of the water and everywhere I go with oceans, rivers, seas, there is bound to be a water story. Read more on my TAIWAN WATER STORY and BORACAY WATER STORY.

In the itinerary, the Kali Suci Tubing activity was an alternative which was included just in case we had extra time to spare after Jomblang Cave. I was confident that we wouldn't have the time to drop by since we found out that Jomblang Cave takes up almost half a day. Unfortunately, our driver forgotten to book a slot for us at Jomblang Cave and all we could do was to book the slot for another day.

With that, it meant that we would replace it with the Kali Suci Tubing activity. I'm not exaggerating but I was unwell the whole time from Jomblang Cave until Kali Suci. I felt cold and nauseous just thinking about the tubing activity and at the same time, I was thinking of ways to get out of unfavourable situations just in case it happens to me (falling off the float, falling into the water, trying to think which friends in the group is a good swimmer to save me if anything happens, etc.).

As we had a lot of people in our group, this activity was only IDR 70K per person. It includes the helmet, life jackets, and the pads for your knees and elbows. There were also complimentary noodles and hot tea at the end of the activity. Please remember to bring a waterproof sling pouch for your phone to hang around your neck because you can't bring your bags in and also, for those wearing slippers, you would need to clip it on to your life jacket (refer to photo above).

So everyone gets a float each and after a short briefing on how to lift your butt up (very important to not have butt bruises) during certain places and so on, we were on our way! As you can see below, we were entering the first cave which has a star shape at its ceiling. It is very dark inside so if you can, bring your head lamp with you or just hold on to each other's float so you won't get lost.

Right after this turning, we were at the spot where we were supposed to take the mandatory group photo of lying down on the water with our arms link together. I did not want to get down from my float even though everyone convinced me that it was okay and that their feet could touch the ground. Well, I didn't want to be a party pooper so I ended up joining the group for the photo. Oh boy, I froze in the water and kept looking down because I didn't want my friends to see me tear up. The moment we all lied down on our backs and with only the sky to witness, my tears flowed out into the beautiful blue waters of Kali Suci.

By the way, the ground wasn't flat and had a lot of sharp stones. That, was okay. The worst one was when I was walking and suddenly there was no ground anymore and that's when I needed help. Thank god for my friends!! Anyway, that wasn't the only time I got super scared. After this session, we had another part of the cave where I was thrown out of the float due to the force of the water and the rocks at that part which (no idea what it is called) goes down like a mini waterfall. That one had my face in the water and really got me in panic mode. I grabbed on to toes, leg hair, and what not the moment I saw them (sorry bros who had a few toes cracked and a few leg hairs plucked).

This was the only instance where my film camera was not present due to its inability to defend itself from the water which was quite a waste because there were so many beautiful scenes to capture. Anyway, I too didn't take much photo with my phone either since I was frozen to my float the whole time so these photos are by my lovely friends who made sure I felt safe and saved me during this water activity.

Earlier on, before we started the water tubing session, everyone queued for the mini cliff jumping. I knew I couldn't do it so I waited for everyone at the bottom of it. Ivan on the other hand took a pass every round he had to jump and as soon as he knew it, everyone was at the bottom of the cliff already. I told him to walk down the cliff to my area so many times because I knew he was afraid. But I guess he really wanted to face his fears. So from being the 5th jumper, he passed so many rounds after countless of attempts and now being the last standing jumper, did he make the jump?

No.

Here is a photo of him after I accidentally pull off some of his leg hair in times of survival.
