Bangkok Part 3: Fluffy, Art, & Shopping
May 18, 2018With the first few days of our trip travelling to places out of central Bangkok and visiting temples, the last day comprised of visiting cute animals, pretending we were art connoisseurs, eating good food (as always), and shopping of course! Abang and I started the day with a train ride to Siam Square One for Som Tam Nua, famous for its variety of papaya salad. Unfortunately, we arrived too early and had to hang around the mall (refer to caged mannequins below) before finding ourselves at an alley with delicious street food! We had a snack to warm our bellies before diving into the absolutely flavourful dishes at Som Tam Nua.
Right after brunch we headed straight to Little Zoo Cafe and were super lucky to not have to queue for a table. Like every other animal cafe, you would need to have an ice-cream waffle and a drink which also comes with a pair of free socks that you would need to change into when going into the playhouse for hygiene purposes. I mean, it would be embarrassing if the animals were avoiding you because of your smelly socks/feet, ooh.
Just a little tip, I would strongly advise to finish up the dessert first before heading upstairs to see the furry friends. This is because the entrance fee is slightly pricey given the limited choice on the menu so you won't want to waste the food and also it wouldn't be very hygienic or healthy to run out of the playhouse to have a bite of cake and run back in to play with the animals with your mouth full.

When I was here at the Little Zoo Cafe, there were two corgis, an Arctic fox, a fennec fox, two cats, a giant bunny, and puppies. The two corgis were my absolute favourite among all the furry and fluffy friends there. The one that caught my heart the most was the black corgi which without any prompting, walk towards me, climbed up on my folded legs, and plopped its body on me before taking a nap (pic above). AM I THE DOG WHISPERER?
Anyway, here are some photos of these mischievous cuties, especially the two corgis that kept chasing the Arctic fox everywhere. By the way, the cats there are huge and definitely not domesticated kinds. Also, all the animals are taken care by loving caretakers and they know every thing about these animals so feel free to ask them anything!
After brunch and dessert with extensive animal petting, we headed to the Museum of Contemporary Arts (MOCA).
