The month of festivity was one of those times where it becomes a haven for me as I get to have a variety of mediums to stick into my monthly journal. I am really grateful that a lot of people around me especially my colleagues have been helpful in getting me whatever they think that can be stick in my journal. Spot the Bee Cheng Hiang smoked minced pork sticker! My colleague gave it to me while we were unwrapping super delicious bagua for tea time hehe

As you can see from the photo above, I had a mixture of different kinds of tapes and cut-outs on both pages. This time around I cut off cookie jar tapes that were used to seal up the opening to prevent air from getting into the cookies. Most of these tapes are plain in colour so when I saw those rare ones with words on it, I made sure to have them on my pages!

I also cut out printed graphics from Chinese New Year pamphlets and did my own collage in three day-boxes. It was from a Sen Heng pamphlet that my mum gotten from somewhere. Not to forget, I took a fruit sticker off a pomelo and sticked it with UHU glue too. I also cut off some cute graphics from angpaus that I received for the spread. Hope there is no clash with the fengshui since I cut a red packet haha please let me know if there are any superstitions regarding this!

I love how the Agfa Vista 200 and my warm lens filter gave so much red to the above photos taken at my home. With the patchwork pieces and festive decor, my home through the lens of my Pentax Spotmatic gave me that vibe when you are spending that lazy afternoon at your Asian grandparents' place.

I come home to this every single day yet I've never felt anything special about it until the photos came out and realized that my home is becoming that warm, cosy place for my nephew and niece especially 💖

Swimming, I think, is the only sport that took me forever to master. The fear of water was the main problem that was making me hesitate during my swimming lessons. However, if compared to the past, I am SOOOOO much better now as I can go into the pool without assistance (I used to need pool ladders and hold on to someone's hand the whole time). I am still afraid of the water but it really takes time to overcome this fear and as long as I don't avoid going to the pool, I think in no time I can start befriending with water 👧💗🌊

Hoshino Cafe, Mid Valley

After swimming, we headed over to Mid Valley's Hoshino Cafe. Food wasn't too bad (I suspect its because we were awfully hungry after swimming) and prices were above average too. Even so, the interior on the first floor wasn't too bad with vintage tufted leather seats and chandeliers.

Flour, Bukit Damansara

Anyone that loves Indian cuisine and wants to take a break from the usual banana leaf rice which is from the South of India, should visit Flour at Bukit Damansara for some Northern Indian delights. I had the North Indian thaali with some of their homemade Indian bread and it was divine! We also had side dishes which we couldn't finish because do not underestimate the thaali which really fills you up and not to forget, satisfies the Indian persona in you.

Aaaaand of course how can the month of CNY be a month without food!! Like every other festival, the food served on that day is exceptionally delicious even though its just a normal steamboat with friends because the company makes everything much more tasty, doesn't it?! For me, I really enjoy feasting with my friends and family because its always fun to enjoy amazing food with people you love and vice versa haha 😍😍😍

The one thing I gained in February was my weight and as I am typing this, I struggle in my usual comfortable shorts because its KILLING ME at the waist line 😠 Need to work out after this! *munches on CNY cookies*
