Another delayed post on my short trip to Cameron Highlands where the drive up there took us 6 hours instead of the 2.5 hours as estimated due to the holiday season 😵 Nevertheless I was still quite excited as I've never been to Cameron Highlands before.

All amazed by the pretty presentation of ice-cream on waffle by MR. AISU
As we arrived pretty late in the evening, we could only go out for dinner after checking in our really spacious penthouse to fit all 12 monkeys. Steamboat dinner was at Nova Cameron Square which was actually quite pricey. For dessert we had ice-cream on waffles from MR. AISU, a cute little shop beside the steamboat place. I personally love the Teh Tarik flavour and almost half the table had their desserts from MR. AISU without knowing that this was one of the must try places at Cameron Highlands!

The next morning, we head over to another must try place, Yong Teng Cafe which serves homemade-style breakfasts of different sorts. One of the unique dishes must be the Fruit Pancake which was not only delicious but filling too! Take note that both the husband and wife working there are deaf and dumb so please be patient and remember to write the orders yourself and pass it to the uncle when he is out of the kitchen.

Next stop was The Big Red Strawberry Farm which was also next to the Cactus Valley where you can actually not only purchase cactus but also many different varieties of lovely flowers 💮 They also sell fresh vegetables at the strawberry farm and you can also see how they grow the lettuces using the hydroponic method.

Soon, we were inside the strawberry farm picking strawberries and to be honest, the most excited person was Abang who planned this trip to the farm solely because he wanted to be a strawberry picker for the day. RM50 for a plastic box and you can fill it all up!

After picking strawberries, we quenched our thirst at the cafe there where the Strawberry Milkshake and Strawberry Yoghurt were all sooooo good! Definitely another must try in Cameron Highlands.

Sheng Gen, I saw you.
Right next to the cafe there is a slope going upwards and though narrow, it has a lot of beautiful flowers and definitely a good place to have your pictures taken. Before leaving, Yi Moon and I bought ourselves some succulents which cost only RM10 for 6 mini pots, come on, Sunway is selling around RM12 for ONE mini pot, so don't ask me why buy in Cameron when KL has it! But really, if you are looking into buying flowers, it's really cheap here.

Wanting to outshine the flowers with my artistic Picasso face art.
BOH Tea Plantation at Sungai Palas was the next destination. We missed the turning a few times due to the turning not looking like a turning 😨 Eventually the dodgy turning was indeed a turning and take note that the road is quite winding and narrow so make sure you honk before making that sharp turn. Aside from that the view of the tea plantation was beautiful!

Aaaaaaand the feast continues as we lined up (super long queue) for scones, cakes and tea to go with the amazing view of the tea plantations! It was a nice tea time for all of us, especially after waiting for so damn long to order everything.

After that we went back to the penthouse and prepared our steamboat dinner (yes, don't ask why we had steamboat on the first night since we brought everything for our own personalized steamboat). The weather at Cameron Highlands goes really well with steamboat. I really like that cold and warm feeling, it's so satisfying.

The next day, we visited the Smokehouse for some pictures before leaving for Lavender Garden. It was such a waste that we didn't get to go inside the Smokehouse because most of us didn't feel like eating and it's quite pricey too. Soon after, we headed to the last stop of the day, Lavender Garden. Another lovely place to take photos and do nothing else besides admire the beauty of nature hahahaha

Last but not least, a group photo of Delta Force (nice name for a boy band right? hehe) and the girls to mark the end of the Cameron Highlands trip! I've been to Langkawi with Delta Force and now Cameron Highlands, where will our next trip be? Hmmm....
